Day - 1 : Guwahati - Kaziranga National Park
On arrival at Guwahti Airport / Rly. Station receive you and proceed to Kaziranga National Park, the home of the “One Horned Rhinoceros”. It will take a 5 hour journey to reach Kaziranga National Park. It is one of the oldest national park in Assam on the south bank of river Brahmaputra. Spread across 430 sq.kms, it is a dazzling mosaic of interspersed with vast tracts of marshes and shallow pools that are a favorite haunt of this celebrity pre-historic beast. The main residents of the park include Wild Elephant, Hog deer, Barasingha, Indian Bison, four species of Deer, Tiger, Leopard, Capped Langur, Wild Boar, Gibbon, Hornbill, Egret, Heron, Fishing Eagle and a host of migratory birds including Pelicans. By reaching Kaziranga check in a resort / guest house and after freshen up you may take a jeep safari inside the Eastern range of the park in a Jeep safari. Evening you may visit nearby villages, Tea garden and Orchid farm, Cultural Show etc. Overnight stay at Kaziranga.
Day - 2 : Kaziranga - Majuli (World Largest River Island)
Early morning start for Elephant safari in the Western range of the park, for one hour and come back to the hotel for breakfast. After breakfast check out from hotel and will take you inside the Central Range of the park in a Jeep safari. Next proceed to World Largest Island Majuli, hours journey (4 hrs. by road and 1.5 hrs. by ferry), crossing mighty Brahmaputra River by Ferry. By reaching Majuli check in a resort. Evening visit to a sand beach in Brahmaputra River to witness the sunset. Overnight stay at Majuli.
Day - 3 : Majuli Island
Early morning Boat Ride (as per availability) to see the birds and after Breakfast visit Missing Village, also visit Assamese’s famous GARMUR SATTRA, a popular attractions of Majuli. AUNIATI SATRA, is one of the major attractions of Majuli, which was established in Majuli in 1653 A.D, the Satra is famous for Paalnaam and Apsara Dance. KAMALABARI SATRA, is one of the famous tourism destination of the River Island which is significant for articles related to art, culture, literature and classical studies. NATUN SAMUGURI SATRA, is famous for Mask crafts and artworks of the Satra is prominent. Hem Chandra Goswami master craftsman and Satradhikar (monastic head) is well known for traditional mask-making. These masks, used in Raas Leelaand Bhaona, an ancient form of Assamese theatre, are the signature craft of Natun Samaguri Satra. Visit DAKHINPAT SATRA. TENGAPANIA, located on the banks of river Brahmaputra, it is one of the famous picnic spots in the Island. Overnight stay at Majuli.
Day - 4 : Majuli - Sivasagar
After breakfast check out from hotel and proceed to Sivasagar, a tourist attraction related to rchitectural marvels, history and culture. Some important tourist place of Sivasagar i.e.- JOYSAGAR TANK AND TEMPLES: Located in the nearby Rangpur. These massive structures were completed in a record 45 days in 1697. Along with these tanks and temples, there are temples on the banks Jeydol, Shiv Temple, Devi Ghar and Nati Gosain temple. RANG GHAR: Often referred to as the 'Colosseum of the East'. The name translates to 'House of Entertainment' and dates back to 1746 A.D. when the Ahoms used to rule Assam. Rang Ghar is one of the oldest surviving amphitheaters of Asia. It is located near Rangpur Palace at a distance of 3 kms. from Sivasagar town. TALATAL GHAR: This is one of the most popular tourist spot which is about 6 kms. from the Sivasagar town this is a three-storey structure including an underground storey. GARGAON PALACE OR KERENG: This was the royal seat of the Ahom Dynasty, a royal attraction located 13 kms. from the Sivasagar town, it consists of seven floors - three of which are underground. CHARAIDEO:The capital of Ahom dynasty located at about 28 kms. away from Sivasagar. This was built by Sukhapa, the founder of the Ahom dynasty. The main attraction of Charaideo is its burial vaults (or maidans) of the king and members of the Ahom dynasty. GAURISAGAR TANK: The artificial reservoir near Sivasagar town, is spread over 150 acres. There are many temples dedicated to Lord Shiva, Lord Vishnu and Goddess Durga. AHOM MUSEUM: It is on the banks of Sivasagar Lake and displays artifacts such as royal armory, clothes, manuscripts, etc which belonged to the Ahom dynasty. Evening check in a hotel and overnight stay at Sivasagar.
Day - 5 : Sivasagar - Guwahati
After breakfast check out from hotel and visit some local sightseeing of Sivasagar i.e. SIVSAGAR LAKE: The landmark of the town, the Sivasagar Lake is also an artificial lake built by Queen Ambika wife of King Shiva Singha, in the year 1734. The pretty Lake is surrounded by Parks, Gardens, Museum, Masjid, Buddhist Monastery, Church and Temples. SHIVADOL:This famous Shiva Temple located on the shores of the Sivasagar Lake and was constructed in 1734. Dedicated to Lord Shiva, Shivadol was built by Queen Ambika, wife of Ahom King Swargadeo Siba Singha. After complete sightseeing drive to Guwahati. By reaching Guwahti check in a hotel and overnight stay at Guwahati.
Day - 6 : Guwahati - Airport / Rly. Station Drop, Tour End
Guwahati, the city is a major tourist place in Assam due to its scenic natural beauty. The river Mighty Brahmaputra flowing through the city. Early morning you may go to darshan of Maa Kamakhya Temple, after visiting the temple beck to hotel for breakfast. After breakfast check out from hotel and we will drop you at Guwahati Airport / Rly. Station with an everlasting memory. (if time permits you may visit some local sightseeing/ market of Guwahati).
