Day - 1 : Guwahati - Kaziranga National Park
Receive from Guwahati Airport / Rly. Station and proceed to Kaziranga. On the way you may visit Maa Kamakhy Temple. Kaziranga National Park is home of the “One Horned Rhinoceros”. It will take around 5 hour journey to Kaziranga. It is one of the oldest national park in Assam on the south bank of river Brahmaputra. Spread across 430 sq.kms, it is a dazzling mosaic of interspersed with vast tracts of marshes and shallow pools that are a favorite haunt of this celebrity pre-historic beast. The main residents of the park include Wild Elephant, Hog deer, Barasingha, Indian Bison, four species of Deer, Tiger, Leopard, Capped Langur, Wild Boar, Gibbon, Hornbill, Egret, Heron, Fishing Eagle and a host of migratory birds including Pelicans. By reaching Kaziranga check in a hotel / resort and evening you may visit nearby villages, Tea garden and Orchid farm, Cultural Show etc. Overnight stay at Kaziranga.
Day - 2 : Kaziranga National Park - Majuli
Early morning start for Elephant safari in the Western range of the park, for one hour and come back to the hotel for breakfast. After breakfast check out from hotel and take a Jeep safari inside the Eastern range (Agaratoli) of the park after completing the safari proceed to World Largest River Island Majuli, around 5 hours journey (3 hrs. by road and 2 hrs. by ferry), crossing mighty Brahmaputra River by Ferry. By reaching Majuli check in a resort. Evening you may visit to a sand beach in Brahmaputra River to witness the sunset, Missing village to experience the lifestyle of second largest tribal community of Assam . Overnight stay at Majuli.
Day - 3 : Majuli River Island
Early morning Boat Ride (as per availability) to see the birds and after Breakfast visit Missing Village, also visit Assamese’s famous GARMUR SATTRA, a popular attractions of Majuli. AUNIATI SATRA, is one of the major attractions of Majuli, which was established in Majuli in 1653 A.D, the Satra is famous for Paalnaam and Apsara Dance. KAMALABARI SATRA, is one of the famous tourism destination of the River Island which is significant for articles related to art, culture, literature and classical studies. NATUN SAMUGURI SATRA, is famous for Mask crafts and artworks of the Satra is prominent. Hem Chandra Goswami master craftsman and Satradhikar (monastic head) is well known for traditional mask-making. These masks, used in Raas Leelaand Bhaona, an ancient form of Assamese theatre, are the signature craft of Natun Samaguri Satra. Visit DAKHINPAT SATRA. TENGAPANIA, located on the banks of river Brahmaputra, it is one of the famous picnic spots in the Island. Overnight stay at Majuli.
Day - 4 : Majuli - Shillong
After breakfast check out from hotel and proceed to Shillong, also called as “Scotland of the East”. It takes almost 9 hours to reach the Shillong. By reaching Shillong check in a hotel and Overnight stay at Shillong.
Day - 5 : Shillong- Dawki - Mawlynnong Village - Cherrapunji
After breakfast check out from hotel and proceed to Dawki, a small village where the main attraction is the Umngot River that marks the natural separation between the Khasi and the Jaintia Hills. You can enjoy boat riding on crystal clear water in Umngot River which is shared by India and Bangladesh. Take a glance of Indo Bangladesh Gate. Next drive to Mawlynnong village known as the cleanest village in Asia and the God’s own Garden. Visit the famous Living Root Bridge, a natural bridge formed with the roots of the trees. A little hiking is required to see the magnificent bridge. You may experience the Tree House (watch tower) made by the local people of the village. Enjoy the rural lifestyle inside the village. Evening transfer to Cherrapunji and overnight stay at Cherrapunji.
Day - 6 : Cherrapunji - Guwahati
After breakfast check out from hotel and start sightseeing of Cherrapunji, which is credited as being the wettest place on the Earth. Important viewpoints of Cherrapunji i.e. Eco Park, Mausmai Cave, Seven Sister Falls, Nohkalikai Falls etc. after Cherrapunji sightseeing proceed to Guwahati en-route you may visit Duwanshing Syiem viewpoint, Elephant Falls, definitely the most popular tourist site of Shillong. Barapani (Umiam Lake) wrapped in the beauty of an assortment of green Khasi - Pines and surrounded by sylvan hills and blue skies. By reaching Guwahati check in a hotel and stay overnight at Guwahati.
Day - 7 : Guwahati Airport / Rly. Station Drop, Tour End
After breakfast check out from hotel and we will transfer you to Guwahati Airport/ Rly. Station with an everlasting memory. (if time permits visit some local sightseeing / market in Guwahati)
